The Struggle

I chose to start this business because of my own personal journey with hair. Growing up, I watched my mum go to the salon every month to relax her hair, and I couldn’t wait to grow up and do the same. For a long time, I believed straight hair was the only standard of beauty. But after years of relaxers, scalp burns, and even a damaging experience with a fake relaxer that left me with bruises and breakage, I realized my hair wasn’t truly healthy.

The Journey

In 2017, I made the brave decision to cut it all off and start again. That decision changed my life. I began creating my own natural product, using ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera, and coconut oil and my hair thrived. When I moved to the UK, I struggled to find products that truly worked for my hair and realized so many women were facing the same battle. That struggle sparked the vision for this business: to create a line that makes it easier for women to care for, love, and embrace their natural hair. This is the right choice for me because it comes from my heart and my own lived experience.

The Promise

I know what it feels like to hide your natural hair because you don’t know how to manage it, or because nothing on the shelves seems to work. I also know the joy and confidence that comes when you finally find products that allow your curls and coils to flourish. That’s what I want to give to other women.

I am determined to make this business a success because it’s more than just a product line, t’s a way to empower women to feel beautiful, confident, and proud of their natural hair. I have the skills and knowledge to make this work because I’ve lived it. I’ve been through the struggles, the trial and error, and the long process of learning what works for textured hair.

Over the years, I’ve taught myself how to create effective, natural products that actually nourish curls and coils. I understand the pain points, because they’re my own, and that makes me uniquely positioned to solve them. Beyond that, I have the determination, passion, and resilience it takes to build something meaningful. This business is personal to me, and that’s why I will put everything into making it work.
