Curlévo™ was born from a deeply personal journey.
For years, Fayokemi Fadoju struggled with the same challenges many people with textured hair face, harsh relaxers, scalp burns, breakage, and the constant pressure to straighten her curls. Like so many, she believed straight hair was the standard of beauty. 

 

The Journey

IIt wasn’t until 2017, after a damaging chemical experience left her hair weak and scalp injured, that she made the brave decision to cut everything off and start again. That moment changed everything. As she began healing her hair, Fayokemi turned to nature creating her own blends using shea butter, aloe vera, oils and botanical extracts. For the first time, her hair flourished. But when she moved to the UK, she realised a painful truth: products that truly worked for textured hair were difficult to find, and countless women were still navigating the same cycle of trial-and-
error, confusion, and disappointment.

This wasn’t just a gap in the market.
It was a gap in care, understanding, and representation.

Guided by her own journey, Fayokemi envisioned a brand built on science, not guesswork, one that truly understood textured hair. She created Curlévo™ to empower curls, coils, and kinks with personalised routines and formulations grounded in real research.

Her innovation didn’t stop at product development.
She designed FroScan™, an AI diagnostic tool made specifically for textured hair, and conceptualised BotaniFuse™, a proprietary Afro-botanical complex inspired by ancestral practices and modern cosmetic science.
